Severn Trent Water, a leading name in the UK utilities sector, is seeking a qualified and experienced Electrical Authorised Person (AP) to support the safe delivery of electrical works across its operational sites. This is a key role ensuring compliance, safety, and operational excellence across a wide range of water and wastewater assets.
🔧 Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the Authorised Person for electrical systems, ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with Severn Trent's safety rules and procedures
- Issue and manage Permits to Work, switching schedules, and isolation procedures
- Oversee and support electrical maintenance, installation, and commissioning activities
- Liaise with contractors, engineers, and site teams to ensure safe and efficient project delivery
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with regulatory and company standards
✅ Requirements:
- Recognised electrical qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, HNC, or equivalent)
- Current 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
- Previous experience as an Authorised Person in a utilities or industrial environment
- Strong understanding of electrical safety rules, isolation procedures, and permit systems
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Full UK driving licence
